Creating Scripts
Build scripts for social situations that feel challenging. Add different types of steps:
- I Say: Things you will say
- They Might Say: Possible responses from others
- Action I Take: Physical actions or behaviors
- Reminder to Self: Internal thoughts or coping strategies
Pre-made Templates
Browse templates by category (Everyday, Social Events, Phone Calls, Workplace, Coping &
Transitions, Conflict & Repair, Boundaries, Getting to Know People). Use "Fill In Blanks" after
loading one to replace placeholders like [Name] everywhere in the script at once.
Practice Mode
Use practice mode to rehearse your scripts. This helps build muscle memory and reduces anxiety in real
situations. Try "Read aloud" to hear a step spoken, or a "Breathing break" if you need a moment to
ground yourself mid-practice. Your library tracks how many times you've practiced each script.
Other Tools
- Print Cue Card: prints a clean, physical copy of your script
- Backup All / Restore All: save or reload your whole library as a file
- A- / A+: adjust text size for easier reading
Tips for Success
- Start with simple, frequently encountered situations
- Practice in a low-stress environment first
- Modify scripts based on real-world experience
- Use the reminder steps for anxiety management
