Tires / Brakes CHECK (Condition / Inflation, 24 psi mains, 36 psi nose)
Propeller CHECK (No nicks, secure)
Turbocharger / Exhaust VISUAL CHECK (No visible damage or leaks)
Master Switch OFF during walk-around

ENGINE START

Area CLEAR
Master Switch ON (Check gear lights: 3 green)
Fuel Pump ON (Prime 3-5 seconds cold, 1-2 seconds hot)
Mixture RICH
Throttle 1/4 INCH
Ignition START (Release at 800-1000 RPM)
Oil Pressure CHECK (Within 30 seconds, 25-100 psi)
Fuel Pump OFF after start confirmed
Alternator ON / CHECK (Ammeter charging)
Engine Gauges MONITOR (CHT 150-400°F, Oil Temp 100-245°F)

RUN-UP AND SYSTEMS CHECK

Engine Instruments CHECK GREEN (Oil pressure 25-100 psi, Oil temp rising)
Propeller Control CYCLE (2300 RPM to 2000 RPM, check RPM drop)

Max drop: 150 RPM
Difference L/R: < 50 RPM
Carb Heat CHECK (ON: expect 75-125 RPM drop)
Vacuum System CHECK (4.5-5.5 inHg)
Amps / Volts CHECK (Ammeter charging, voltmeter 13.5-14.5V)
Fuel Flow CHECK (Steady)
Gear System CHECK (Warning horn when throttle reduced with gear up)
Flaps OPERATE (Cycle to 25° and retract)
Throttle 1000–1200 RPM (After checks)

Gear UP (Positive rate, 300-500 ft AGL)
Vy (Best Rate) 88 KIAS (Gear up, flaps up)
Vx (Best Angle) 73 KIAS (Gear up, flaps up)

CLIMB

Gear UP & VERIFIED (3 green lights out)
Flaps UP (If used)
Fuel Pump OFF (Above 500 ft AGL, positive rate)
Climb Power 29" MP / 2500 RPM (75% power below 10,000 ft)
Climb Speed 100 KIAS (Normal climb, gear up)
Mixture LEAN (Above 5000 ft for best power)
Cowl Flaps AS REQUIRED (Adjust to maintain CHT ≤ 400°F)
Engine Gauges MONITOR (CHT ≤ 400°F, Oil Temp ≤ 245°F)

CRUISE

Power Setting 24-27" MP / 2300-2500 RPM (65-75% power)
Turbocharged: Maintain MP with altitude (approx 1" loss per 1000 ft without turbo)
Mixture LEAN (For peak EGT or 50°F rich of peak)
Cruise Speed 140-155 KIAS (75% power at 10,000 ft)
Fuel Flow CHECK (12-14 GPH at 75% power)
Engine Gauges MONITOR (CHT 300-380°F, Oil Temp 180-220°F ideal)
Cowl Flaps ADJUST (As needed for cooling)
Fuel Tanks BALANCE (Switch tanks every 30-60 minutes)

DESCENT

Power REDUCE (15-18" MP, 2000-2200 RPM)
Mixture ENRICH (As required for smooth operation)
Carb Heat AS REQUIRED (ON when below green arc or visible moisture)
Descent Speed 120-140 KIAS (With 500-1000 FPM descent)
Cowl Flaps CLOSED (To prevent overcooling)
Engine Cooling MONITOR (Keep CHT > 250°F during descent)
Fuel Pump ON (Below 3000 ft AGL or when power < 15")

BEFORE LANDING

Trim SET for approach speed

LANDING

Final Approach 70-75 KIAS (With full flaps)
Flare GENTLY (Power to idle, hold off)
Touchdown MAIN WHEELS FIRST
After Touchdown NOSE WHEEL DOWN (Gently)
Flaps UP (After clearing runway)
Carb Heat OFF
